Columbia, Ca — Columbia College has been selected to receive a $2 million grant from the Federal Government to expand the college´s distant education program and assist in the construction of a facility for the school´s foundation.
?Receiving this grant simply goes to show what a college´s positive vision and a lot of dedication can do,? says Dr. Joan Smith, Columbia College President. ?Federal funding of this sort is challenging to procure, especially for a small college, but we did it. I truly appreciate the efforts of everyone on our campus who participated in this grant, and in particular our distance education committee.?
The Title III grant is from the U.S. Department of Education.
