Update: Fire Near Lake Don Pedro In Tuolumne County

Update at 2:20 p.m.: CAL Fire reports that the grass fire burning near Lake Don Pedro has been contained at three acres. About four engines remain on the scene mopping up. What sparked the fire is under investigation. Further details regarding the blaze are below.

Update at 1:45 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff tells Clarke Broadcasting that the fire burning in the 4200 block of Enebro Way near Arbolada Drive, both off Highway 132, is holding at an estimated three acres in size. She adds that the flame’s forward rate of spread has been stopped and all aircraft have been released. Crews will continue to work the fire until full containment is reached and then mopping up for the next couple of hours. Shoff reports the cause of the fire is under investigation. 

Original post at 1:20 p.m.: Tuolumne County, CA — Columbia aircraft are flying overhead to respond to a report of a vegetation fire in Tuolumne County, between Lake Don Pedro and Granit Springs.

CAL Fire reports the blaze is in the vicinity of 4200 block of Enebro Way near Arbolada Drive, both off Highway 132. It is also west of the Lake Don Pedro Baptist Church. We will update this story as soon as new details come into the newsroom.
