Sonora, Ca — Get ready for winter weather as heavy winds and light precipitation are expected to move into the region late Friday night and continue through Saturday.
The National Weather Service says that snow levels are expected to dip down to around 1,500 ft. or lower by late Saturday afternoon.
A second stronger storm is then projected to arrive late Sunday evening and continue through the middle of next week. Heavy rain and snow are expected with this weather pattern, with snow levels dropping to around 2,000 ft. during that period.
Areas of the high country could see around a foot-and-a-half of snow between Sunday and Thursday.
