Murphys, CA — The cause of a fire that destroyed a residence at 2595 Murphys Grade Rd. Monday evening remains under investigation.
?Upon arrival of the first unit, the single family dwelling was fully involved,? says Murphys Fire Protection District Chief Steve Kovacs. ?It took about four fire engines, three water tenders and about 20 personnel to suppress the fire.?
The blaze started at the 1,500 square ft. home at around 5:54pm. A family that was renting the home has been displaced, and one individual suffered minor injuries to his arm while attempting to escape.
