Sacramento, CA — From the National Weather Service; the winter storm warning for the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada will remain in effect until four o´clock this afternoon.
That warning calls for heavy snow and blowing snow with accumulations of four to eight inches with heavier amounts at the higher elevations. Snow levels will generally be around 3,000-3,500 feet with southwesterly winds of 20-30mph with stronger gusts at the higher elevations.
