Sacramento, CA — A bill introduced in the state Legislature would require anyone convicted of drunken driving to install a device in their vehicle to discourage a repeat offense.
Drivers have to breathe into the devices before starting their vehicle. If the device detects alcohol, the vehicle will not start.
Senator Carole Migden says her bill would apply even to first-time offenders.
