San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras Council of Governments (COG) met Wednesday and elected two at large members to the council.
COG is the county´s regional transportation planning agency.
Council member Bob Leitzell of Mokelumne Hill was re-appointed to a two-year term. Leitzell was first appointed less than two years ago to fill out the remainder of a vacant position. He is a civil and traffic engineer.
And Gregg Baxter of Valley Springs was appointed to a three-year term on the council. Baxter is the director of the Altamont Commuter Express otherwise known as the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission.
David Wood of Murphys, a geologist, was appointed as the public alternate.
