Columbia’s Davidson Arrested On Numerous Charges

Sonora, CA — Columbia´s Scott Louis Davidson was stopped Friday evening at eleven o´clock by Sheriff Department´s Sgt. Craig Davis on on a potential motorcycle traffic violation at Horseshoe Bend and Springfield Rd.

When Davis attempted to stop Davidson, the driver accelerated and tried to escape. Davis chased the motorcycle throughout Columbia. Davidson was driving very erratically, speeding, driving on the wrong side of the road, running stop signs, etc.

Finally Davidson pulled over, dismounted and started running. Sgt. Robin Hunt, who was assisting Davis, caught up to Davidson in the area of the Diggin´s at Columbia State Park. After a brief scuffle, the 5-7, 130 pound suspect was taken into custody.

He was found to be in possession of a portable scanner set to the Sheriff Department´s frequency. In addition he had latex gloves, a pick, and a long screwdriver. The motorcycle was not registered in Davidson´s name.

Davidson was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and remains in custody on $8,000 bail.

Davidson has been charged with felony evading arrest, possession of burglary tools, driving with a suspended license and possession of property with removed serial numbers.
