Sonora, CA — 46 year old Patty Lynne Varrelan-Ruggiero of Atwater was arrested Tuesday evening on Tuolumne Rd. and Striker Court and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Sheriff´s Deputy Corporal Tim Wertz stopped Varrelan-Ruggiero´s white 1990 Toyota Celica for driving erratically. He noticed a white powdery substance on the floorboard. After Varrelan-Ruggiero stepped out of the vehicle, Wertz discovered a methamphetamine smoking pipe and nearly a gram of meth.
The vehicle was towed and Varrelan-Ruggiero was arrested and booked for possession. Her bail was set at $10,000.
