Sonora, CA — An unidentified 54 year old Columbia resident has been arrested by Sheriff´s deputies and charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment.
On March 5 deputies were dispatched to the El Jardin Restaurant in Columbia where they met with a female who told them she had been beaten and held against her will by her husband on a number of occasions. Deputies had been to her home recently on a disturbance call.
Saturday deputies arrested the six foot, three inch 170 pound suspect and booked him into the county jail with a bail amount of $35,000.
