Sonora, CA — Thanks to the Irving J. Symons Foundation, the Jamestown Food Bank is the proud owner of a new Ford delivery van.
The vehicle, supplied by Hammond Ford and sold at dealer cost, will be utilized seven days a week for daily pick-ups and deliveries. Food Bank Director Lee Kimball stated, “This makes it so much more cost effective and efficient to serve outlying areas and that means areas that are the most cut off from food.”
The Jamestown Food Bank, a division of the Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency (A-TCAA), provides food to nearly 950 households each month and supplies more than 90 other foothill food closets and community food programs including 30 in Tuolumne County.
