Glencoe, CA — A traffic collision that was reported earlier this afternoon has now been confirmed as a fatal accident.
The CHP says just after 1 p.m. Monday, a traffic accident claimed the life of Mark Sakata.
Sakata was involved in a collision at Highway 26 and Woodhouse Mine. Reports say he was pinned in the vehicle.
No further information is available at this time.
This is the second fatal accident in Calaveras County this year. The first fatality took place on Saturday, March 24.
