Valley Springs, CA — April 25 will mark the 122nd anniversary of the San Joaquin and Sierra Nevada Railroad coming to Valley Springs.
The Society for the Preservation of West Calaveras History is celebrating the event on April 25 with the unveiling of a permanent interpretative historical display.
The event takes place at the last remaining railway station on Highway 12, which is now an Ice Cream shop called the Ice Cream Depot.
The display features photographs, a history of the railroad and a free brochure for visitors.
The celebration takes place at 5:30 p.m.
