San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County is expected to go out to bid soon on improvements to its airport.
Tuesday the Board of Supervisors will consider authorizing the bid proposal procedure. The project calls for a new apron and taxiways.
Funding is primarily from the Federal Aviation Agency with a smaller local match.
If approved, bidding would begin May 3.
Also on the board´s Tuesday agenda is a study session to hear an update on the jail situation.
The board meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the county Government Center in San Andreas.
