Sonora, CA — Over $745,000 in property tax payments will be made to Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties today from PG&E.
Calaveras will receive $349,470, and Tuolumne $396,260. Statewide, more than $97 million will go to the 49 counties in which the company operates. The company´s tax payments to counties for fiscal year 2006/07 increased by more than $11 million over the previous period. It is a result of an increase in assessments due to PG&E´s infrastructure improvements and an overall increase in rates.
