Modesto, CA — So how much does it cost to hire a new chancellor for the Yosemite Community College District?
There is not a definitive answer to that question quite yet because the invoices are still arriving. But so far former district administrator Tom Van Gronigen has been paid a $20,000 consultant fee. Then there was $6,200 for advertising the position, along with $6,000 for rental for an off-site meeting facility and travel for the search committee members.
Dr. D. Roe Darnell was eventually hired and has agreed to a four year contract that will pay him $210,000 a year not to include health insurance, retirement benefits and a car allowance.
