Murphys, CA — A public meeting is set for Monday to educate residents about the proposed Measures A and B for the Murphys Fire District.
The special tax would pay for a new firefighter/EMT position 24 hours a day.
If approved residents in the district would pay $40 for unimproved parcels and $89 on improved parcels.
The meeting takes place at 7 p.m., April 23 at the Vallecito Church.
The June 26 election will be a mail in ballot. There are 2,214 registered voters in the district.
