San Andreas, CA — It is the law that motorists must stop for school buses when their flashing red lights are on.
That´s what the CHP is saying this week in an important reminder message to drivers.
CHP says when the school bus´ red lights are flashing, drivers must stop in both directions until the lights are turned off.
CHP Officer Mike Maddox says the minimum fine is $500 and one point on the driving record.
Maddox says officers will be diligently enforcing the law because there is no excuse for not stopping.
