Wednesday Fire Chars 3 Acres In San Andreas

San Andreas, CA — Fire crews battled an escaped debris burn in San Andreas Wednesday that charred three acres of vegetation.

CAL FIRE says the fire broke out at around 3:49 p.m. between West Murray Creek Road and Mountain Ranch Road.

One firefighter from Central Calaveras Fire District sustained a knee injury while helping fight the fire.

Damage is estimated at $600.
