Sacramento Man Arrested Following Chase In Sonora

Sonora, Ca — A Sacramento man, who was wanted by law enforcement on charges of stalking and possessing counterfeit documents, was arrested this weekend in Sonora.

While on routine patrol Saturday morning, Corporal Eric Erhardt saw a red Jeep Cherokee entering Sonora on Hwy 49. He recognized the passenger as 39 year old Arthur Delissio. Erhardt pulled the Jeep over, and when he did, Delissio jumped out and started running.

Erhardt chased Delissio up the hill from Pesce Way near Elks Dr. Erhardt, and two other deputies arriving on scene, found the suspect hiding in some bushes and ordered him to stop. Delissio proceeded to start running again.

A local resident directed deputies to some brush at McCormick Dr. and Elks Dr. where they found Delissio hiding. The suspect again attempted to run, but deputies were able to overtake him.

Delissio was transported and booked in Tuolumne County Jail where he remains in custody with no bail. He will soon be transported to Sacramento County to face his charges there. He will also be facing resisting arrest charges in Tuolumne County.
