Columbia, CA — If you´re a fan of flying, the Columbia Air Base is where you will want to spend at least a portion of your weekend.
It´s the 41st annual Father´s Day Fly-In. The Saturday and Sunday activities will start with the 7am pancake breakfast at the campgrounds. Airplane rides will get underway at nine o´clock both days.
From the airport, Jim Thomas notes that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the CAL FIRE Tanker Base at Columbia.
There will be a total of five Warbird flybys during the two day event in addition to CAL FIRE aerial demonstrations, the traditional stock car/airplace race plus the 90 minute flour bombing, spot landing contest Sunday at 11am.
And to wrap up the Saturday schedule the Black Irish Band will be performing at seven o´clock.
