Sonora, Ca — The Sonora Area Foundation has released the list of second quarter grant recipients.
The Columbia Middle College program, a joint venture between Columbia College and Sonora H.S., received a two-year grant of $40,700.
Special Olympics of Tuolumne County received a $10,000 grant. $5,000 is from the Sonora Area Foundation, and $5,000 is from its supporting organization, the Irving J. Symons Foundation.
The Central Sierra Arts Council was given $10,000 to support the Art Annex with its year round schedule of community workshops, and $5,000 to support the first Foothill Farmlands Arts Festival in September.
Friday Night Live, the Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency´s program providing teen leadership and drug free activities for youth, received $10,000.
Many other organizations received grants of smaller amounts.
