Sonora, Ca — The vegetation fire off Peaceful Valley Rd. in east Sonora is near containment.
CAL Fire engines and Air Attack have been responding since shortly before the noon hour. The size was reportedly just over one acre. No structures were damaged and no injuries have been suffered by residents or firefighters.
Incident Commander Barry Rudolph stated the response was extremely quick. Cause of the fire has yet to be determined by CAL FIRE Investigator Rommie Jones.
