Jamestown & San Andreas, CA — The Mother Lode was blessed over the Labor Day weekend without a single traffic fatality.
Tuolumne County CHP Officer Brad Schultz reports seven arrests for driving-under-the-influence along with 13 accidents none of which was serious.
In Calaveras County CHP Officer Jaime Castillo reports his office issued 190 citations with just six for driving-under-the-influence. In addition there were two non-injury collisions.
Overall traffic fatalities for the year; Tuolumne County has recorded 14 while Calaveras County has recorded one fewer. Nine motorcyclists have been killed in the two county area so far this year.
