San Andreas, CA — Tuesday the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors has a fairly light agenda but will dig in deeper during a late morning study session on a new grading ordinance.
The county does not currently have an ordinance regulating grading, drainage and erosion control.
A draft ordinance has been circulated to the public for comment, which will also be received during the study session.
A proposed timeline says the ordinance could go into effect by December 23, after a formal review period.
In the meantime, county staff says with the upcoming rainy season, it will need to provide a higher degree of enforcement on all grading.
The board meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the county Government Center in San Andreas. The study session takes place at 11 a.m.
