Yosemite National Park, CA — Yosemite Park rangers along with a number of other agencies spent Sunday searching for Ronald Hoggard.
The 58 year old Corcoran, CA city manager last communicated with his wife Friday afternoon. Rangers say Hoggard apparently disappeared somewhere between Fresno and the park´s Fish Camp entrance. Hoggard´s car was discovered Friday afternoon in the Sentinel Dome parking area off Glacier Point Rd.
Hoggard is described a five feet eight inches tall with brown eyes and brown hair.
Search and rescue teams from Fresno, Madera, Marin, Mono and Tulare counties have joined park rangers in the search for Hoggard. Dog teams and air searchers are being utilized as well.
Hoggard becomes the second lost hiker in Yosemite this summer. 80 year old Ottorina Bonaventura from Indiana was reported missing when she attempted to return to her camp site on July 30. Her body was found two weeks later in an area southwest of Tuolumne Meadows.
