San Andreas, CA — Power issues continue to plague residents in the Jenny Lind and Valley Springs areas.
According to David Andres, the general manager of the Calaveras County Water District, the operation of water and wastewater pumps and motors is being affected by recent wide fluctuations in electrical power supplied by P.G.& E.
Voltage fluctuations have been occuring causing system components to shut down.
Both District and P.G.& E. staff personnel have measured improper voltage coming in from the power lines.
As P.G.& E. continues to work on its infrastructure problem, generators originally intended only for backup are being used to provide power from 3pm until 7am at District facilities in the area to assure the continued operation of equipment.
