Sonora, Ca — The Forest Service announced today that fire restrictions, which have been in effect since August 10th, are now lifted within the Moderate Hazard Areas of the Stanislaus National Forest.
Park officials say that the recent storms and rainfall has reduced the risk of fire at certain higher elevations. Restrictions remain in effect within the High Hazard Areas, where campfires and barbeques are still not allowed.
