Sonora, CA — According to Lt. Mark Stinson of the Sonora Police Department 47 year old Nelson Edwards of Sonora remains at large.
Stinson was the precipitator of the Monday Sonora High School 40 minute lockdown when it was reported that he had vacated a McCormick Drive residence with a kitchen knife and was headed in the direction of the campus.
Police learned that Edwards had left the house after threatening a man with a broken wine glass and a woman with the knife. However Edwards left the knife at the residence and did not encroach the Wildcats´ campus.
Edwards stands 5-10 and weighs approximately 220 pounds. He has blue eyes and a mixture of brown and grey hair. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a sleeveless black t-shirt.
