Sonora, CA — 20 year old Roy Gillespie, Jr. of Sonora and 21 year old Sara Stevens, also of Sonora, were arrested by police on numerous drug charges Wednesday evening and booked into the County Jail.
Officers stopped the pair for a defective tail light. It was quickly discovered that Gillespie was on probation out of Tuolumne County for assault with a deadly weapon.
A search of the vehicle revealed an empty box for a set of small scales, several clear straws, a small Tupperware container containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine, a small zip lock baggie containing what is believed to be meth and a larger plastic bag containing 14.8 grams of meth. In the trunk was discovered a blow gun with four darts.
Stevens was found to have a controlled prescription narcotic on her person with no prescription in her name.
