Sonora, CA — Stanislaus National Forest is pitching in to help with the firefighting effort in southern California.
According to Spokesman Pat Kaunert a strike team of five engines has been sent along with two 20 person “hot shot” crews, one dozer and a dozen support personnel.
In all 79 Stanislaus National Forest personnel have been sent to southern California and there is a chance that even more will be sent if needed.
