Child Development Screening Set For Tuolumne County

Sonora, CA — Through the Tuolumne County Office of Education a Child Development Screening session will be conducted Election Day Tuesday.

Debbie Ritchie, a program specialist in the Special Education Department, points out that fine motor skills, gross motor skills, speech and language and preschool academics will be tested. In addition there will be testing for vision and hearing. Dental checkups will also be available.

Parents will be able to share any concerns they might have regarding their child´s development with Special Education personnel.

Special education and related services are provided to eligible individuals between the ages of 0-22 by school districts and the Tuolumne County SELPA (Special Education Local Plan Area).
