Sacramento, CA — Republican State Senator Dave Cogdill has been named the 2007 Senate Small Business Legislator of the Year.
This award comes from the California Small Business Association and the California Small Business Roundtable.
During his seven years in Sacramento Cogdill has carried numerous bills designed to assist small businesses including bills to help those businesses attract investment and to be eligible for tax incentives. Additionally Cogdill has been involved in legislation to overhaul the workers´ compensation system in order to make it more business friendly.
At the same time the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council based in Washington, D.C. has ranked California 49th on the 2007 Small Business Survival Index.
