Sonora, CA — Christmas has come early for downtown Sonora with the continuing installation of 26 historic replicated street lights.
Financed through the city´s redeveloment agency, the lights were designed and installed through a joint project with P.G.& E. Cost of the energy efficient lights is approximately $62,000.
City Administrator Greg Applegate says the installation will be completed either this evening or by Saturday evening … just in time for next Friday´s annual Christmas Parade.
The lights are located between the Old Red Church and Church St. in the downtown historic area.
