Sacramento, CA — Extremely low temperatures and the possibility of light snow are in the forecast for later today and overnight.
The National Weather Service in Sacramento is calling for single digit temperatures in the higher elevations of the Sierra Nevada. Snow showers as low as a thousand feet are expected to spead into the Motherlode late this afternoon.
Accumulation is expected to be light with the snow levels rising above 2,500 feet by Friday morning.
