Sonora, CA — The eight appointments to the Tuolumne County Resource Conservation District have been delayed by the Board of Supervisors until January 17th.
Board members say they need more time to review the applications and hope to receive more from the public, especially the ranching community.
Supervisor Mark Thornton believes starting the RCD will be a great thing for Tuolumne County and he feels there needs to be more representation from the districts.
Creation of the district was passed by the county´s voters in the November 8th election by a 17-percent margin. The new deadline for applications is Friday January 13th at 5:00pm.
