Arnold, CA — A seven-year-old Arnold boy is safe following a search and rescue operation Sunday.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department is reporting that the mother of the child called dispatch to report that her disabled son and his dog were missing close to noon.
A large-scale search was started due to the rugged hills surrounding the caller´s home. Search and Rescue Volunteers, along with CHP helicopters, and Big Trees Park Rangers aided the Sheriff´s Department in the search.
An hour later a neighbor who had walked into a nearby subdivision found the boy. The child was then taken back to his mother with no injuries.
The Calaveras County Sheriffs Department credits the safe return of the boy to interagency cooperation.
