Sacramento, CA — An agreement could be in the works to end an 18-year-old court battle on water from the San Joaquin River.
Environmental activists say water should flow from a dam to bring back the salmon that once lived there. They could finally be nearing an agreement with federal water officials.
A hearing on the case was postponed Tuesday for 30 days after the parties filed a document telling a judge they hoped to settle within the next month.
