Sacramento, CA — It´s a record setting year at the University of California.
More than 106,000 students applied to get into the 10-campus university system this fall.
In all, there were roughly 83,000 applications from prospective freshmen. That´s an increase of nearly nine percent over last year.
Applications from in-state students were up nearly eight percent, while those from out-of-state rose by five percent.
International freshman applications were up about 16 percent. Applicants find out in March whether they made it into a UC.
