Sonora, CA–Two people are recovering from moderate injuries after hitting a deer in Sonora.
22-year-old Lauren Sloan was on her motorcycle traveling southbound on Standard Road yesterday when a deer ran in front of her.
The California Highway Patrol says after hitting the deer she and her 13-year-old passenger were ejected onto the right shoulder of the road. They were taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center and treated for their injuries.
