Sonora, CA — CDF officials are advising Mother Lode residents to use caution while burning in windy conditions. Craig Harte with the CDF says a debris burn escaped Sunday afternoon in east Sonora, causing a three-acre fire.
Several engines responded and Harte says that due to strong winds the fire spread quickly.
He says that although the Air Pollution Control Board deems it a permissive burn day, the conditions are not always ideal.
