Yosemite National Park, CA — Yosemite National Park is considering the construction of a duplex in the Hodgdon Meadow housing area of the park and is seeking public input.
The project would replace trailers that were removed when they did not meet housing standards. Developers say the duplex would provide new housing for two or more park employees.
Officials say the duplex would be energy-efficient, bear-proof, affordable to maintain, and would match the architectural style of the other Hodgdon Meadow buildings.
Public scoping for the project will occur from March 15th through April 14th. A Public Open House will be held in Yosemite Valley in the Visitor Center Auditorium on March 24th from 2pm to 5pm.
Park staff will be available to discuss this project at that time. For more information, visit the park website.
