Sonora, CA — Today marks the start of the fourth year of the US-led invasion of Iraq, and for those of us living in the Mother Lode; anti-war protests have been very visible.
Yesterday, downtown Sonora was full of people marching with signs promoting peace.
Not all gatherings were about protesting the war, the Blue Star Mothers Group met in Modesto in remembrance of the sacrifice their sons and daughters made.
Reports indicate there have been more than 2,300 American military troops killed in Iraq since March 19th 2003.
