Sonora, CA — A La Grange man is suffering from major head trauma after falling out of the bed of a moving pick-up truck Sunday.
The California Highway Patrol says the truck was being driven on Pepito Drive at Merced Falls Road by an unidentified man close to 2:30pm.
CHP reports indicate when 26 year old Ryan Eriksen fell out and hit his head against the pavement; the driver fled the scene before contacting the CHP.
The CHP believe alcohol was a factor in the accident and the driver is still being sought for questioning.
