Street Poll Reveals Residents Level Of Support For TGH

Sonora, CA — In a street poll conducted over the weekend, KVML news asked 100 Tuolumne County residents if they thought taxpayers should spend $60 million to build a new facility for Tuolumne General Hospital at a per homeowner cost of $3,000 to $5,000 over the next 30 to 40 years and continue to pay the yearly operating deficit from the general fund, projected at $5-$7 million yearly.

Of the 100 people surveyed 73% said they do support a new hospital and 27% said they do not. You can hear the poll responses throughout the day on all Clarke Broadcasting stations this week.
