Angels Camp, CA — It´s back to the drawing board for city planners.
During an update on the progress of the General Plan Tuesday, the Angels Camp City Council directed staff to take another look at the circulation element – in particular the extension of Greenhorn Creek Road.
As it is, the road would have been included as a potential bypass for Highway 49. But that didn´t sit well with folks who live in and around Greenhorn Creek. They felt the road would become a major thoroughfare drawing big rigs and speeders.
Planning Director Kaye Simonson said adding some language stating the community´s intent might clear things up.
She said the issue would return to the General Plan committee for reexamination to address all of the concerns.
