Flash Flood And Winter Storm Warnings In Effect

Sonora, CA — A flash flood warning is in effect for Calaveras County until noon.

The National Weather Service says more than another inch of rain is expected in the Mother Lode by the end of the day.

A Winter Storm warning is in effect for the Sierra Nevada until 8:00am. Heavy snow showers will continue across the area this morning.

In Tuolumne County several small creeks and streams have over flown causing flooding on residential roads.

Mud and rock slides have been reported in several locations and the California Highway Patrol advises motorists to use extreme caution on the roadway due to ice, rain, and trees blocking roadways.
