Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Health Department will get a crash course in mass vaccinations Thursday.
Health Officer Todd Stolp says that although hundreds of residents will be flocking to the fairgrounds between 10am and 2pm there is no need to panic.
The event is after all, just an exercise to help prepare the county for the possibility of a flu pandemic.
Stolp says the exercise will assess response capabilities and train staff in mass vaccination clinic procedures. Volunteers are needed to make the event more successful and challenging for the staff.
Stolp encourages people to show up at the fairgrounds during the exercise and sign in at the Sierra building. No shots will actually be given.
