Sonora, CA– While the sun has been shining and putting smiles on many faces in the Mother Lode, rainfall is expected by late Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service is declaring a flash flood watch for Friday as accumulations of one to two inches of rain is estimated by Friday night.
In addition to the wet weather, a winter storm watch has been issued for the Sierra Nevada Mountains with 10 to 14 inches of new snow possible near 5,500 ft. and above by late Friday night and early Saturday.
