Jamestown, CA — Tuesday evening some 75 supporters and members of The Citizens To Save Tuolumne General Hospital met at the Sheriff´s Posse Grounds.
The purpose of the gathering was to strategize the group´s plans for the Beilenson Hearings scheduled for April 25th before the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors.
Citizens´ member Orville Millhollin feels many sound ideas were formulated, but he fears the board may have already made a decision to close the Sonora facility.
Millhollin says his group has received information that a new hospital could be built for approximately half of the construction estimate that has been reported to the supervisors.
He adds the role of a county hospital is to serve the medical needs of the entire populace not just those who can afford proper care. Millhollin´s final comment; it would be a travesty for the county to close T.G.H.
